A 50% deposit is required by all customers to secure their booking, until this deposit is paid Elle’s Cakerie will continue to take on other orders and a delay in payment may result in customers losing their space.
This is to be paid either via Bacs/Cash payment into our account or via Paypal.
The Remaining 50% is to be paid on delivery/Collection- Please note we do not give credit, cakes must be paid for at the point of delivery/ collection. We are unable to hand over any cakes until any outstanding money is paid.
We advise our customers to book their place with us at least two weeks in advance to avoid disappointment (4 weeks in advance over all public holidays).
When placing your order please be clear on:
The colour you require, The size you require, Any specific design elements you require as once your cake is made we are unable to add or change any details that you may not be happy with and If we are able to change any details this will be at an extra cost to the customer.
Delivery/Collection times will be set when your order is placed. Requests to change this will need to be made at least 48 hours before your desired date and a change of time/date is not guaranteed. We try our best to deliver at a time to suit our customers, however we are not always able to accommodate this.
Information about your cake:
Keep cream cakes refrigerated and consume within 24-36 hours, consume buttercream cakes within 36-48 hours and keep refrigerated. Do not keep your cake in a warm environment as this may cause icing to wilt and / or melt damaging any design.
Handle your cake with care
complex designs are fragile and damage made to any cake after sale is the responsibility of the owner and will not be rectified. Please check your order is correct and to your satisfaction on collection/delivery as any errors can not be rectified or resolved after this. Once your cake has been delivered/collected it is the responsibility of the buyer to insure theircake is stored correctly as stated above any damage to the cake made after this point will be at the fault of the buyer and no refund or alterations will be offered. Refunds Elles Cakerie Ltd offers a full refund on the following:
The cake is broken beyond our repair while in our care, i.e. transit.
The cake is not cooked all the way through and this can be proven.
Elles Cakerie do not offer refunds for the following:
You have paid your deposit but you no longer require the cake. If you give us 5 days notice we will refund 50% of your deposit, but the cost of any items purchased for your cake will be deducted from the balance. All cancelation requests must be made via email to Rochelle@ellescakerie.co.uk. Please note that if you cancel order with less than 5 days notice you we will keep the full deposit.
If you decide you do not like the look of the cake without obvious reason. When purchasing an Elles Cakerie cake you can be assured that all our cakes are finished to the best quality and are designed around the specification given. If we feel your reasons for dissatisfaction are warranted we will refund a percentage or all of your money. If your design specification has been met and we feel the complaint is not justified we reserve the right to refuse your refund request.
If you do not like the taste. Even though we pride ourselves on the taste and texture of our cakes we understand that people have different palettes. With this in mind, refunds will not be given based on a cake that you think is too sweet or bland or even too moist or dry. If you have not tasted our cake before we do advise you to contact us to arrange a taster, which can be done for a small fee.
